Artificial Intelligence

We’re on a journey to advance and democratize artificial intelligence through open source and open science.

ぶっちゃけ全レイヤーGQA(Group Query Attention)で組んでるのとあまり変わらないということです。

We need answer in Japanese. (Tell me about Toyotomi Hidenaga). Need produce final answer. Need likely provide biography, key facts. Need be accurate. Let’s gather knowledge.

Toyotomi Hidenaga (豊臣秀長) (1560? or 1558? born? Usually 1560? Let’s verify. Hidenaga (豊臣秀長) (February 16, 1560? ? December 10, 1599). He was younger brother of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Let’s recall: Toyotomi Hidenaga (豊臣秀長) (1560?1599) was a Japanese daimyo of the late Sengoku and early Edo periods. He was the younger brother of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. He was a member of the Toyotomi clan and served as head of the Toyotomi clan after Hideyoshi’s death. He was a powerful daimyo based in Otsu, Kyoto, with 1.5 million koku? Let’s recall: In 1599 after Hideyoshi’s death, Hidenaga, as head of the Toyotomi clan, led a group of daimyo to investigate Tokugawa Ieyasu’s alleged violation of the two conditions, and forced Maeda Toshiie to become elder? Actually Hidenaga was not one of the Five Elders? Some sources: Hidenaga was appointed as the head of the Toyotomi clan and the regent (kanrei?) for Hideyori? He held the title of Kanrei? Need answer in Japanese, likely concise but informative. Need include dates, family, career, role, death. Need avoid errors.

Let’s recall details:

Toyotomi Hidenaga (豊臣秀長) (February 16, 1560? – December 10, 1599). Born in Mino? He was the second son? Hideyoshi’s younger brother. His childhood name? Hidenaga? He was known as “Hidenaga” after receiving kanji? Maybe “Hidenaga” (秀長). He was a daimyo of the Toyotomi clan. He was a vassal of Oda Nobunaga? He served under Nobunaga, then Hideyoshi. He was a general. He was in charge of Otsu Castle? He was lord of Omi Province? After Nobunaga’s death, he accompanied Hideyoshi? He was involved in the Battle of Shizugawada? He was in the Korean invasions (1592, 1597). In 1597, he led the defense of Otsu? He was in charge of the Kyoto and Omi region, and was one of the key figures in the Toyotomi government. He was known as a capable administrator and had a large domain (1.5 million koku). He was a member of the “Toyotomi five elders”? Hmm.

Let’s recall more precisely:

After Hideyoshi’s death in 1599, Hidenaga was appointed as the head of the Toyotomi clan and as the regent for Hideyori. He led a group of daimyo to confront Tokugawa Ieyasu over the “two conditions” (the two conditions: that the daimyo who served in Korea should be granted land, and that the daimyo who had not served should be punished? Actually the “two conditions” were: 1) the daimyo who served in Korea should be granted land in the western provinces, 2) the daimyo who had not served should be punished? Need not include). He was involved in the conflict with Ieyasu. He died suddenly on December 10, 1599 (Keich? 10, 11th month, 10th day?), likely from illness (fever? stroke?). His death removed the main obstacle to Ieyasu’s rise to power. He was posthumously? He was enshrined? He is buried at H?ry?-ji? Actually Hidenaga’s grave is at H?ry?-ji in Uji? Or at Daitoku-ji? Need check.

Let’s recall: Hidenaga’s tomb is at H?ry?-ji? I recall Toyotomi Hidenaga is buried at H?ry?-ji in Uji, Kyoto. He was a Buddhist patron, built H?ry?-ji? Actually H?ry?-ji is an ancient temple, but Hidenaga’s mausoleum is there. Also he built Otsu Castle? He was the lord of Otsu. He was known as “Omi Hidenaga”? He was a powerful daimyo with 1.5 million koku. He was a member of the “Toyotomi Five Elders”? Wait, the Five Elders were appointed by Hideyoshi in 1585? The original Five Elders: Maeda Toshiie, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Uesugi Kagekata, Ukita Hideie, M?ri Terumuna. Hidenaga was not included? But he was a Toyotomi relative and had high status. Maybe he was considered above them? He was “head of the Toyotomi clan” and not an elder. However, some sources call him one of the “five elders”? Let’s verify.

Actually, after Hideyoshi’s death, Hidenaga was appointed as the “head of the Toyotomi clan” and as the “regent” for Hideyori. He was not one of the Five Elders, but he had authority over them. He led the “Toyotomi clan” and was the de facto leader of the daimyo council. He was a powerful figure. He was involved in the “Toshiie’s death” (Maeda Toshiie died in 1599). Hidenaga’s death soon after.

Let’s recall his birth year: Some sources say 1560, others 1558. Need choose. Wikipedia Japanese? ? December 10, 1599). Born in Mino Province? He was the second son of Hideyoshi? Actually Hideyoshi’s younger brother, but maybe not full brother? Let’s check: Hideyoshi had a younger brother Hidenaga (秀長) and a younger sister? Hidenaga was born in 1560? Hideyoshi born 1537, so 23 years younger. That seems plausible. But some sources say Hidenaga was born in 1558? If Hideyoshi was 19, maybe. Let’s recall: Hidenaga’s birth year is uncertain, but commonly 1560 (Mei? 20?). He was the second son of Hideyoshi? Actually Hideyoshi’s full name was Toyotomi Hideyoshi, born in 1537. Hidenaga was his younger brother, but not necessarily same mother? Hideyoshi’s mother Oe Matsu. Hidenaga’s mother maybe also Oe Matsu? He was a full brother? I think Hidenaga was Hideyoshi’s younger brother, possibly full brother. He was a daimyo.

Let’s recall his career:

He served under Oda Nobunaga. He was a retainer of Nobunaga? He was a general. He participated in the Battle of Anegawa? He was in the Oda army. After Nobunaga’s death, he supported Hideyoshi’s rise. He was in the Battle of Shizugawada (1583) against Shibata Katsuie? He may have commanded a division. He was in the Battle of Sekigahara? No, that was 1600, after his death. He was in the Korean invasions. In 1592, he led the defense of Otsu? He was in charge of the western front? In 1597, he was in the defense of Otsu and Kyoto. He was known for his skill in administration and military. He was a close confidant of Hideyoshi.

He was appointed as the head of the Toyotomi clan after Hideyoshi’s death in 1599. He was a regent for Hideyori. He was a powerful daimyo with 1.5 million koku. He was involved in the conflict with Tokugawa Ieyasu. He died suddenly on December 10, 1599, likely from illness. His death removed the main obstacle to Ieyasu’s rise to power. He was posthumously? He was enshrined? He is buried at H?ry?-ji.
